Review by Wine Orbit

Beautifully fruited and delightfully expressed, the bouquet shows dark plum, spiced cherry, violet and almond characters with subtle spicy complexity. The palate delivers succulent fruit flavours and elegant fruit intensity, wonderfully framed by fine, polished tannins. The wine offers lovely balance and harmony, finishing long and flowing.

Review by Michael Cooper

Likely to be at its best from 2020 onwards, the 2017 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown at Upper Moutere, fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for 11 months in French oak casks. Deep ruby, with a fragrant savoury bouquet, it is mouth-filling and sweet-fruited, with generous, ripe plum, spice and nut flavours, showing excellent concentration and complexity.

Review by Bob Campbell

From an estate vineyard in Upper Moutere, it was fermented using indigenous yeasts and aged in barrel for 11 months. Fruit focused pinot noir with bright cherry and plum flavours, together with subtle fresh herb and spicy oak characters. An attractive and accessible wine.
